Mikao Usui

Usui Reiki is the original system of Reiki healing developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century. It is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-above-the-body) energy healing practice that supports relaxation, stress reduction, and the body’s natural ability to restore balance.

The system, often referred to as Usui Reiki Ryoho, is based on the transmission of universal life energy through the practitioner’s hands. Sessions are typically quiet and meditative, allowing the recipient to enter a deeply relaxed state where physical, emotional, and energetic tension can soften and release.
