Meet Liz
Liz, originally from Germany and now based in Bangkok, Thailand, is the CEO and Director of SOMĀeden Bangkok, a Wellness and Somatic Therapy Practice dedicated to Trauma-Informed Care, Education, and Integrative Healing. With nearly two decades of experience as an ICU nurse at leading hospitals in Germany and Switzerland, Liz brings a strong clinical foundation to her work in the healing arts.
Liz is a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP™), having trained under Dr. Abi Blakeslee in Singapore and London. Her education is complemented by advanced training in Trauma Therapies, Dynamic Attachment Repatterning (DARe) with Diane Poole Heller, Reiki Master certification, a 200-hour Foundational Yoga Teacher Training, and a 100-hour Advanced Training in Somatic Movement. Her diverse expertise enables her to bridge the fields of Medical Science, Body-Based Practices, Spiritual Work, and Trauma Recovery.
Driven by her own transformative healing journey, Liz is deeply passionate about making trauma recovery accessible to broader communities. She is actively engaged in Thailand's healing and wellness community and is continuously learning the Thai language and culture to build authentic, meaningful connections. Beyond her professional practice, she is committed to volunteering in shelters, with the goal of sharing somatic tools that foster resilience and support recovery among vulnerable populations.
Liz's work is guided by the belief that trauma resolution not only transforms individuals but also strengthens communities. Through SOMĀeden Bangkok, she is dedicated to cultivating a trauma-informed community in Thailand that integrates clinical knowledge, cultural sensitivity, and compassionate care.
